Mr Clarke is chartered accountant who joined the Sedibelo group in November 2014 as the CFO. He worked for the Imperial/Eqstra group for 18 years and has experience in general management, finance, audit and risk management.
In 2010 he was appointed CEO of the Contract Mining and Plant Rental division of Eqstra Holdings Limited. Prior to that, he was the CFO of the Eqstra group and instrumental in unbundling the group from Imperial Holdings Limited and listing Eqstra on the JSE.

Mr Badenhorst holds a BTech in Geology and he completed a post graduate diploma in Mineral Resource Management at the University of the Free State. In January 2010, he was appointed General Manager of Sedibelo Platinum Limited’s Pilanesberg Platinum Mine and, in early 2013, he was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of the company.
Prior to joining Sedibelo, Mr Badenhorst spent five years with the Sallies Witkop mine where, before his departure, he was appointed General Manager. He also spent two years in Botswana managing a gold mining operation. Casper has 23 years’ experience in the fields of geology, mining and minerals extraction.

Chief Financial Officer
Ms Maritz is a chartered accountant and she completed her articles at KPMG. She spent two years at KPMG as a tax consultant. She then joined an internationally listed software company where she was responsible for financial control in a region comprising Africa, the Middle East and India.
Ms Maritz began her career in the mining industry by offering a consulting service to junior mining operations CAG, BRC Diamondcore and Alliance Mining Corporation, mostly reporting to CEOs and boards of directors in terms of financial control and turnaround strategies. She joined the SPM group in July 2010.

General Manager: Human Resources
Christian joined the group in 2010 and is responsible for the group’s human resources business strategy. He has more than 19 years’ experience in human resources management across a variety of industries, including mining, manufacturing, construction and engineering.
Dr Mishack Molope

Has 33 years’ experience in the academic, government, research and community relations. Held positions of Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor at the University of North West. Moved to the Agricultural Research Council (ARC) in 2000, and became the Acting President and CEO till 2001. As Group Executive for Research and Development and National Public Assets in the ARC, become involved with the with Global Programmes such as the Special Programme for African Agricultural Research (SPAAR), the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research Special Programme on Water and Food(CGIAR CP:WF), and the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) Natural Resources initiatives.
Joined the BBKTA in 2008, as the founder and first CEO of the Administration corporate division. During this tenure at the helm of the BBKTA, initiated and led the economic development agenda which culminated in a number of concluded infrastructure projects and the Master Plan forming the basis for launching the BBK as an investment destination. Moved to PPM in 2014 to assume the responsibility of the Stakeholder Relations portfolio. This portfolio will promote our efforts in local development and our overall social performance, corporate responsibility and competitiveness and creating an environment conducive to private investment.

General Manager: Concentrator and Metallurgical Services
Barry Davis was appointed as the General Manager of the Pilanesberg Metallurgical Complex on 1 February 2014. Prior to this, Barry spent twenty five years with Anglo American Platinum. He started his career as a Process Engineer at the Precious Metal Refinery and fulfilled the roles of Design and Commissioning Engineer, Metallurgist and then Senior Manager at various operations within Anglo American.
Barry spent most of his career as the Manager of The Mogalakwena Concentrator complex in Mokopane (Limpopo province). Barry has 25 years’ experience in the fields of Open Pit mining, Plant Design, commissioning and mineral extraction.

General Manager: Engineering
Jannie has 27 years’ experience in the mining industry, which covers Platinum Mining, Gold Mining and Base Metal Mining. Before joining Boynton Investments (Pty) Ltd in 2008 his mining career covered employment periods with Newmont Mining, Gold Fields Ltd, Anglo Base Metal Division, Bamangwato Concessions Limited (BCL), RSVConsulting Engineers and Boynton.
He completed the Management Development Program through the University of Stellenbosch and worked at senior management level as Chief Engineer, Manager Engineering and Divisional Manager in the mining environment for the last 15 years.

Aart obtained his MSc in 1998. He also holds a blasting licence for metalliferous mines and is an accredited Master Black Belt in the Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement methodology.
He started his 26 year career in South Africa’s coal mining industry, moving to Lonmin’s platinum and BHP Billiton’s arctic diamond operations in Canada. He has worked extensively in underground mines (incline and vertical, shaft sinking and operational) as well as open pit operations.
Aart was appointed Mineral Resource Manager in April 2010 and as Mining Operations Manager from March 2011 until April 2013 at PPM.
